Cai Yue Xun has been mentally and physically exhausted because of "White Tower" and finally couldn't go on any longer and collapsed at the filming location yesterday. His wife Yu Xiao Hui sent him to the hospital immediately and the drama crew temporarily stopped working. The 4 "doctors" Jerry Yan, Zhang Guo Zhu, Zhang Kui and Tang Zhi Ping felt helpless.
Cai Yue Xun originally suffers from congenital vertigo. Yu Xiao Hui explained, "His brain doesn't have as many blood vessels as people normally do." Plus the fact that he's had a cold lately, red lights have been flashing already. But he still films everyday. Yesterday Yu Xiao Hui received a phone call from staff members telling her to rush to the filming location because at that time Director Cai already couldn't move and he couldn't see clearly, scaring everyone.
Yesterday "White Tower" started off at half past six in the morning and planned to film until late at night. However, at 4pm Cai Yu Xun couldn't take it anymore and suddenly fell to the floor unconscious. Yu Xiao Hui helped him to the sofa to take a rest. He originally still wanted to continue filming but Yu Xiao Hui persuaded him and took him to the hospital. The drama crew was done for the day.
Towards the night Yu Xiao Hui was more calm, mainly because the doctor said that Cai Yue Xun was under too much pressue mentally but everything else is ok. The doctor said to Cai Yue Xun, "Your 100% is other people's 120%, don't be so demanding of yourself." Yu Xiao Hui laughed bitterly, "Actually I'm already used to it. Last time after he was done filming 'Mars' he has weakened for a time. His situation isn't much different, it's just that this time he hasn't filmed for that long and he's already collapsed."
To keep things going the "White Tower" crew has been filming everyday from morning to night. After going home Cai Yue Xun would still have work to do so he doesn't get much sleep. Recently for an office scenery in the drama, he has endless meetings. Cai Yue Xun knows himself that he doesn't look good. A few days ago he especially went to get his hair cut, hoping that he'd looked more lively.
The doctor wants Cai Yue Xun to rest for a few days. Yu Xiao Hui talked with reporters on the phone yesterday helplessly and miserably, "Right now I'm not letting him receive any phone calls so that he can sleep nicely. But I still don't dare cancel tomorrow's work, he'll definitely want to film. I don't know how to tell him." Being the woman behind a successful man's back is very tough. Yu Xiao Hui is a living example.
